There is good reading in this trade pub.
Any Auto-Rx dealer can benefit from this web based magazine.

Thanks, Frank

I am running 1 ounce of auto-rx in my powersteering on my Marauder and the El Camino.

Many cars today have Rack & Pinon Steering, usually if any seals go bad the whole rack has to be replaced and the parts and labor can be over $1000, thats right over one thousand dollars.

If the seals in the Rack & Pinion dry up and crack you can have leaks or other problems, this is what a mechanic with over 40 years of experience told me.

Gone are the days when cars were made like my 1983 Chevrolet El Camino, the powersteering pump is about $60.00 or so and it is easy to put on. That was usually the only thing that would go bad on the older cars.

I put in the 1 ounce of auto-rx in my powersteering rack on the Marauder especially to keep the seals from going bad.

Brent, many thanks for posting about the maintenance dose for the power steering system. Didn't realise there was one. Is the same dose for the differential and transmission?

I don't believe it is a maint. dose. There is an application for Power Steering on the ARX transmission site.

Ah, thought it was. That was the application I followed prior to my last power steering flush.

Panthermike is correct, I did this as  preventative maintenance. I also plan on changing the powersteering fluid out at  this spring or summer.

I am really kind of doing a cleaning of the powersteering system, I hope I did not confuse anybody.
