AUTO-RX piggybacks (so-to-say) the engine oil correct? My car oil capacity is 6.1 quarts. So basically I add my engine oil (6.1 quarts) plus 12 FL OZ of Auto-RX and I'm good to go?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the noob question. Better safe than sorry.
A better method would be to add 5~ quarts of oil plus your ARX and then take a reading on the dipstick. If it is between the add and full marks start the engine, allowing it to idle for a few seconds after the oil pressure light goes off. Turn the engine off and take another reading on the dipstick, adding only enough oil to bring it up to the full mark. Now you are good to go.
Below is TurboJim's post try this method and then check your oil leval.
