I just finished the cleaning phase in my 2000 BMW. The oil and filter were very clean after 1800 miles. When I started the treatment, the engine had 50000 miles. I checked the oil every 300 miles and kept samples on cotton pads. There was very little change in color. Frank. Should I still do the 2000 mile rinse or can I go to 3000 mi if you think the engine is clean? The rinse oil I'm using is Shell Rotella-T 15w40.
