Question on the cleaning phase.

I'll be lucky to put 1,500 miles on my car in 6 months and I'd rather not wait that long in between oil changes.  Would doing the cleaning phase twice..(two 3 month periods) be ok?

                            Thanks, John

Yes as you will get a total of 1500 miles remember John Auto-Rx works slow as it is the only way to clean safely (no particulates to stop up an oil screen or piston) good post.

Another thing, you will be just fine leaving oil in an engine for 6 months. If it were my car, I'd just go the 1500.

John,

I have taken a part all the oil filters after auto rx treatments. (4 cars). I have also inspected under the valve covers.

Unlike others, I have yet to find a clogged filter. I agree with Frank, that auto-rx slowly disolves sludge. When you touch it on the engine or filter, after-during treatment, it doesn't feel like sand. It's sorta gooey tar like.

I would not bother changing your oil until the 1500 miles are up. You have to give auto-rx time to work.

I will bet you check your dip stick a lot during those 1500 miles.

Steve
