I have a 91 Dodge Spirit with the 3.0L V6 (Mitsubishi/Chrysler) engine. It has started to burn oil. It was quite obvious on an emission test where it smoked the whole way through. Anyway, it has 122K on it. Is it worthwhile to try Auto-Rx on it? These motors are known to have finnicky valve guides and stem seals. The car is worth nothing, but it still has good power and runs good other than burning oil. What should I do in this case?
What have you got to lose other than the cost of ARX. If it was my car I would give it a go. From your posts you have used ARX before and know what results to expect.
It may be too late, but you won't know unless you try. If you ask me Autorx is your only choice, it's safe and doesn't cost hardly anything compared to any work you'd get in a shop. I hope you give it a shot and I'd love to hear how it would turn out if you did.
