I bought this van last year brand new.It currently has only 11K on it.
Would it benefit to put it through the basic application of ARX?
I have used it on two of my vehicles but they have both over 150K.

Jared use Auto-Rx Maintenance Plan engine under 25,000 miles. Will give you great service-performance gains and engine protection.

Assuming that he used a quality oil, and changed at reasonable intervals, couldn't he just go on the maintenance dose?

Just completed my clean phase. With just 14700 miles on the van and synthetic oil changes every 5K,ARX removed alot of carbon it seems from the look at my drain pan even though the filter did not reveal any big chunks of carbon.
The van is also mainly in stop and go traffic around town, very rarely on the highway.I don't know if this would cause the oil being as dirty as it was.
I am now on the rinse phase and will keep this board posted on my progress.

I'm not sure if I'm reading your post correctly, but you should be using conventional/group III for the rinse phase.

I am using conventional oil for the clean/rinse.
I used Autozone conventional for the clean phase and Castrol for the rinse.
When I got the van I used synthetic oil for the oil changes up until about 12K when I started the ARX treatment.

I would say this goes to show that even with synthetics deposits still form. Based on your observation of the drained oil. I would think that the maintenance dose with the oil of your choice is the way to go.

After my rinse phase, since I change the oil every 5K in the van, should I go back to synthetic or stick with conventional oil for the maintenance dose?
The van is driven 90% in town.

You'll probably get as many answers as there are members of this forum, LOL. Most, if not all, brand name conventional oils seem to be up to 5000 mile OCI's. But then I'd venture to say that "all" synthetics are up to the challenge. I've always felt more comfortable with synthetics, so I use Mobil 1 and have stayed on the maintenance plan. Since you do a lot of city driving, I'd say a good synthetic oil wouldn't hurt. Long post made short, the maintenance plan will work great with either type of oil, at this point its really just your preference.
