Hello, My 1988 honda prelude has some pretty bad sludge and varnish buildup, even after typical 3,000 mile oil/filter change.
So, after I buy the Auto-Rx I'm thinking of using some crappy light weight (5W-30) walmart (SuperTech) oil/filter. Would this oil and filter be a good cheap choice while using the Auto-Rx? After the Auto-Rx treatment I plan on going fully synthetic...
I think the SuperTech filters are a good value myself it's just that most Wal-Mart's don't carry the full line. I believe that either the ST3593A or the ST7317 will fit your engine.
If you haven't already done so I'd suggest you replace the PVC valve. Does this engine burn any oil?

This is the B20A5 motor, and it doesn't burn any oil or leak at all. I changed out the PVC valve about three years ago as well. Would it still be feasible to use fully synthetic motor oil after the treatments?
BTW: When trying to place my order with the SEPTEMBER SAVINGS DISCOUNT CODE "ARXFJA" it says it has expired.
There is no coupon on I bottle of Auto-Rx. After cleaning and rinse phase of Auto-Rx you may use the oil of your choice but I would stay with the maintenance program.
