I think the new instructions for normal cleaning and rinsing are great. The beauty is that you now run the normal OCI on dino oil while cleaning and rinsing. What I do is add the cleaning dose 500 miles into a new oil fill. Then I run the cleaning cycle for 2500 miles. So I get the full 3000 miles worth of oil service. Then I run a 3000 mile rinse. Bottom line is that I have not sacraficed any oil life by short changing out the oil.
Of coarse those with sludged up motors should follow the appropriate instructions. But for normal cleaning and rinses, this procedure conserves oil.
