i have used auto rx before in an 89 mr2 and it worked great! now that i picked up my 05 wrx it has alot of miles on it almost 50k. thats almost 25k a year. so i want to do alittle cleaning out of the enigine. the only thing that scares me is with the turbo. i have heard that addatives can wear out my seals and bearings in my turbo. anyone have something to say to that?
Auto-Rx will do no harm to your engine or Turbo. Listed below is how ARX works.

The inexpensive solvent flushes that you find in the auto parts store use powerful solvents that can be destructive to your engine and seals. These products are shock solvents; they can only be kept in the engine a short time and have a tendency to break off large chunks of sludge that can get trapped in the engines oil passages. Clogged oil passages can cause engine failure. Oil is also negatively affected by the introduction of a solvent; it changes the chemistry of the oil, whereas Auto-Rx® does not. Auto-Rx® works slowly, methodically and efficiently and will take 2,500 or so miles to do its job. Engine deposits are formed layer by layer; they should be removed layer by layer. Auto-Rx® does exactly that.
Let me make a few suggestions. Use ARX to clean out your front and rear differentials as well. You will need to pick up a Torx T70 bit for the front differential. I picked up one off of eBay not to long ago for about $12. I'd suggest you pick up a gallon of conventional 80W-90 oil for the ARX cleaning, than return to the synthetic 75W-90 that is specified for your vehicle. It's just cost effective that way as the cleaning takes but 1,000 miles, and a gallon jug is the most economical size, leaving you lots left over for another project.
You may also want to clean out the transmission, but I don't have any specific fluid recommendations to offer. Suggest you find something other WRX owners have been happy with.
Nothing to worry about as far as the turbo goes. Many 1.8T Passat owners use and recommend ARX to others.
Auto Rx is not really an "additive" per se, as it does not change the chemistry of the "host" oil. It is really more of a cleaner that uses the host oil as a carrier. It will liquefy sludge, carbon, and deposits and carry them safely to the filter. I can't see where you'd cause a problem.
