Added auto rx to my transmission, had a question

Well, I just added the reccomended dosage of auto rx to my transmission, a 95 lexus gs300 with around 163k. I have noticed it seems to be shifting a little harder then it normally does. So far I have only driven it for around 150 miles or so. So here is the question.
How long does it normally take to feel a difference in the way the tranny shifts, does it take a while?(500-700 mile range)? or is it after the t-tech flush that one would notice that difference.

I noticed mine after I changed the fluid and got most of the old fluid out, remember that even with a T-Tech you may still need to do a few pan drops or drains because cleaning will be going on for a while, also it depends on how much junk is in there.

I did 3 drain and fills on this car before I added auto rx, just to make sure the fluid was red in color and not burnt like it came originally.

You should notice a difference after you have driven the required miles with Auto-Rx in there and then when you drain it out or T-Tech it you will think you have a new transmission, the transmission on my El Camino with 357,000 miles shifts better than the 1 on my 04 Marauder with 22,000 miles, the Marauder will eventually get Auto-Rx in the trans as I am running a Maintenance Dose right now in the engine, good luck.

Wow, 357,000miles huh. Is it still on its original tranny? I hope I can salvage my transmission at 163,000 because whoever had it before me apparently didn't believe in changing any of the fluids.

Original transmission, original engine, but something's were changed on the engine over the years, new carburetor, new distributor, new intake manifold, new oil pump and oil pan at 330,000 miles, the other things were changed after 200,000 miles and of course dual exhaust and headers at 300,000 miles, looking back I wished I had done the dual exhaust and headers sooner but it took me a while to find someone to do this, but too answer your original question again, YES, 357,000 miles on the transmission and it has never been worked on.

Wow, that is amazing. Hopefully my transmission can last that long. I am about 300 miles into the auto rx transmission clean phase. Toyota type IV is only around 4.80 a quart so I am realy looking forward to doing a whole flush after the 1000 miles are up.

The number 1 killer of transmissions is heat, it might be wothwhile too get a trans temperature gauge or an infrared gun that you can aim at the pan, 1 thing that has helped me of course is that at about 150,000 miles I got rid of my A/C and of course the a/c condenser so there is more air flow into the engine, so my car may be a little different, the other thing too do is watch out for any transmission fluid leaks, another thing I recommend is a magnet that goes on the outside bottom of your trans pan if it is steel, a company called Filtermag makes 1 that traps particles down too 2 microns whereas most transmission filters only filter down to 100 microns, good luck.

Well I live in houston, so getting rid of AC is probably not a good decision lol. Now the pan does have a magnet that came from factory, I checked out the filtermag website, do i just stick that flitermag anywhere on the pan or next to the magnet, or does it even matter?

I would probably call up Filtermag and ask them, my opinion would be too put it on the bottom of the pan away from the magnet that is inside the trans pan. Also the only reason I got rid of my A/C was that there were so many leaks, I rarely used it so why get it fixed if I only used it 2 or 3 times a year, but Houston is different.
