So I am about to pick up a new to me car with about 30K miles on it. I have 1 bottle of ARX left, and wanted to know if I should do a full treatment or start a maintenence dose. Engine sounds good, and doesn't look abused.
Its a 1999, then I would definetly do a treatment, it only has 30,000 miles, it seems like it was driven 3000 to 4000 miles a year, who knows how much the oil was chnged and how long it sat, there is definetly some cleaning that has too be done and a full treatment meaning a Clean and Rinse is the only way too go, remember the Maintenance Dose is for brand new vehicles with very little mileage or when you have already done the Clean and Rinse. I have never seen a car that is 9 years oil coming right up on 10 years have only 30,000 miles, this is a 1st.
Even if the engine was completely clean a clean/rinse cycle will not hurt it. So this is something that can be done without worring. Also I can imagine an engine with even a few thousand miles that could not stand to be cleaner.
