Why I Added A 1 Ounce Maintenance Dose To My Dad's Cub Cadet Tractor

Let me start by saying that if I had added a 1 ounce Maintenance Dose too my Dad's MTD Tractor back in 1995 when he got it, we might still have it today. A year after he got it, the engine developed an oil leak at the pan seal that was fixed under warranty, 2 years later it started leaking again, and when this happened we were always adding oil and a few times a season I would Gunk off the engine, it got so bad that every month I would have to clean the foam wrap on the air filter because it was full of greasy dirty junk. It finally threw a rod last year and I ended up using my walk behind mower from August until November. I must have spent hours taking the engine apart to find the cause and have my Dad say this is going to be too expensive to fix and it"s an old lawn mower. Last March I went a few places with him too look at tractor's which was o.k., but it was a little cold out. I think my decision to add Auto-Rx to whatever tractor he got came to a head 1 morning in early March when I took his old tractor in the back of my El Camino to the scrap yard, it was about 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and I really wanted to sleep in but I could not, it was also 25 degrees outside, I remember driving there and saying to myself how can I prevent having to do this again, and I said to myself whatever tractor he gets I am going to add Auto-Rx to it. I had the same thought in April when I went to pick up the new tractorconfused, we talk about how much benefit we can get from using Auto-Rx, but we do not talk about all of the time we can be doing other things instead of chasing oil leaks on mowers and all the cleaning and other time consuming maintenance from the oil leaks and wasting time looking for another mower and pushing an old mower in and out of the truck. With Auto-Rx in the Cub Cadet I feel it will run like new longer, probably no oil leaks. So if you are thinking about using Auto-Rx think about the things you want to do instead of all of the aggravation you will have when your lawn equipment starts leaking and giving you time consuming problems.
