Skip one oil change on my car. Use to be doing it at 8,000km (will change to 5,000km after discovering this website) but I forgot one and did it at 14,000km.
The car is a 2004 Mazda 6 with a V6 and have currently 68,000km. 90% of highway use.
You won't be suprise if I tell that the oil was dark brown but no appearance of sludge. I've check with a light in the valve cover and seem real clean.
Did notice that I probably hear a little more the valve but nothing major.
Anyway, I will do a rx treatment just to clean everything and for prevention also.
But would a 14,000km oil change damaeg internal components?
hello saw your post on bitog also , unlike any other board here we try and give answers based on real life experience. Add 4 ounces of Auto-Rx to your engine oil. Do every change, believe suspected noise, dirt etc wil be gone.
