Adding Auto-Rx to existing fluids or new fluids?

My 1988 Honda prelude's OEM (HONDA) power steering fluid and transmission fluid are expensive.  Would I yield the same results if I just reused my existing power steering fluid and transmission fluid and then added Auto-Rx to both and then just flush/refill with OEM (HONDA) fluids after 1,000 miles?

You can just add to your existing fluids in both systems, run the 1000 miles, then flush it all out with new fluids.
