AutoRx And 2000 Olds Intrigue

I had been lurking around these parts as well as hanging out on BITOG...
I have an Olds Intrigue with the 3.5 Shortstar....these are great motors but are notorious for using oil. I bought the car with 70,000 miles. It now has 187,000 miles and I am about to go into my 2nd rinse phase. When I bought the car it was using a quart every 1000-1500 miles. Right before my first treatment consumption had gone down to a quart every 600-800 miles (a lot of this increase is do to a leaky valve cover gasket). The car runs MUCH better. When you turn the key to start the car it fires off much quicker. Accelleration is vastly improved. Oil consumption is down to about a quart every 1200-1500 mi. Once I get the valve cover gasket replaced I am sure my oil consumption will drop even further. I am completely SOLD !! Believe me, I have tried everything under the sun with this car and autorx is the only thing I have tried that has shown me results....oh did I say my gas mileage is up a couple of mpg !!

Thanx Frank,

David Blackmon
