Just thinking, if you add a bottle of ARX at the end of every oil change (for this example, 5K miles) and the oil turns black quick; does that mean engine was never cleared?

If you add RX to engine oil will it always turn black.

Just thinking here.

A bottle of ARX at every oil change would be excessive. A maintenance dose of 90 ml every oil change is sufficient enough to keep your engine internals clean and prevent the formation of sludge.

Generally speaking though, I personally noticed my oil turning black in the rinse stage of my application rather than the cleaning stage.

That would be really expensive ..and a waste of money. Auto-Rx needs time to work. The most you would use it ..and this too would be a waste if you didn't have a severe issue, would be every other oil change at the beginning or midpoint depending on how long your OCI was.

Many report darker oil more during the rinse phase than they do during the cleaning phase ..but either/both are not uncommon.

Please read the Application Instructions and follow them, these are the only instructions that have been proven too work.

Bizzare applications have never been proven too work and the results will be unsatisfactory and anyone following a rogue application may be unhappy and blame auto-rx if they do not get any results.

AUTO-RX WORKS WHEN YOU FOLLOW THE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS.

In my experience no. Each application is going to be different, because the type and amount of contaminent build up is different.

One of the functions of motor oil is to carry dirt/contaminants to the filter. The engine can ingest all sorts of small particulate through the intake, so dark oil can also be an indicator that the oil is doing its job.

Thanks to all. I am going to follow the Instructions again to stop a lcam eak. The reason why I asked is, I wondered if everytime you add ARX will it always turn oil black or if you do, does it turn black due to engine cleanings.
