Oil Choice for Rinse?

So I'm getting close to the Rinse cycle on our '96 Isuzu Trooper.  I have Chevron Supreme 10w30 & Auto RX in the sump now.  Should I continue with the Chevron, or switch to Castrol GTX or Pennzoil YB for the rinse phase?  What oil brand does the best cleaning?

Thanks,

Rob

It really does not matter, as long as the motor oil is a cheap dino oil, no High Mileage Oil's.

There is no problem sticking with the Chevron Supreme 10W-30.

The Chevron Supreme will work just fine. In fact I'm currently using the 5W-30 version for both the treatment and rinse phases in my '95 Civic.

Auto-Rx works and works very well- testimony number 80 under "Testimonials" is mine.

Daryl,

Yes I did.  I just wanted to know if there was a preferred "brand" of oil for the rinse phase.

Thanks...

I'm using 5 quarts of Walmart SuperTech 5W-30 for the cleaning phase in my 2002 4.0L Ford Explorer and at the same time picked up another 5 quarts of the same for the rinse phase. They were selling it for $10 for the 5 quart jug which comes out to $2/quart - a price that is hard to beat. The web pages here list a cheapie dino oil like Supertech as perfect for the application. Why spend money you don't have to for less performance in the application?

The reason you use Auto-Rx is to save money on maintenance, that definitely should include filters and oils.
