I have been using ARX in my cars for a while now with great results. My brother has a 2002 Lancer with 109K miles. He doesn't like spending money on the car, so for the heck of it I put in a maintenance dose w/ Mobil Clean 5000. 2K miles later, the oil is dark and there has been ZERO consumption, the car usually burns a qt every 3K miles. Needless to say, I'm thoroughly impressed and so is my brother. I'm going to try and convince him to do a full clean/rinse soon for maximum benefits. But for now, I'm happy and very impressed.
Panthermike, I see you over at BITOG. Noticed that you have a full blown cleaning being done on a Mark VIII. You mention that the application is going great with only 1100 miles or so in the cleaning phase, but also are doing a transmission and power steering application as well. What noticeable improvements have you observed in any or all of the 3 different applications?
As for the engine; it's running noticeably smoother/quieter. The trans is shifting great(need to service it soon). I will be using Schaeffer's Full Syn Tranny fluid for the servicing. My biggest surprise is the power steering. I put in a couple of ounces because my car has a "return to center" issue in the steering wheel, after turns. I'm 850 miles into this and the other day, the wheel returned to center! The steering is also becoming easier. I even replaced the ball joint/lower control arm to no avail(it was bad).
I plan to run a maintenance dose for the engine after this clean/rinse. I also plan to run another dose in the power steering.
As a note, this car "looks" spotless under the oil cap, but so far the car is running great, and I'm sure it will only improve.

I changed the oil using Schaeffer's oil today. In 3300 miles, the car was only down 1/4 of a quart(usually a quart in 3000). The oil was also very, very dark. I'm still amazed at what the maintenance dose of ARX has done for this car.
