Im getting ready to use Auto RX in my 5th personal vehicle. Ive recommended it to friends countless times and used it myself with fantastic results. I just purchased a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe for my wife. She has wanted one forever so we finally got her one. Its in fantastic shape, has 133k on it but is extremely peppy. It has the 3.5L DOHC V6 in it. So Im eager to see the results in this one. I'll try and take a picture of the valvetrain area through the oil fill hole (its probably one of the largest oil fill holes/caps Ive seen on a vehicle in a long time.
We are getting ready to take a very long road trip in a few weeks (over 1000 miles one way) so hopefully all that road time will allow Auto RX to work its wonders exceptionally well.
One question I have is that this vehicle has a 5-spd automatic transmission that calls for SP-III spec transmission fluid. When I checked out the vehicle before buying I pulled the dipstick to the tranny and the oil looked like motor oil and I came dang near to letting the vehicle go because of that until I did some research and found out that the Hyundai SP-III spec'd fluid is a light red tint that does turn to a brownish color fairly quickly.
However, my question is this; is it okay to use Auto-RX in this transmission with that fluid? I'll be putting in fresh fluid before putting in the Auto-RX but I just want to be sure. One nice thing about this is that the transmission comes from the factory with an external spin on filter rather than one in the pan.
I bought three bottles so I would have enough for the motor, tranny, power steering and I may toss in some in the rear differential (the vehicle has full time 4-wheel drive).
I do wish I had time to run the Auto-RX through the clean phase before going so I could get a good idea of any mileage increases and such but I just dont have the time to put that many miles on the vehicle. The vehicle seems to be getting exceptional economy now as it is despite being an SUV type vehicle.
At any rate, I just wanted to ask about the transmission and to make sure it was safe to use there.
Not a problem Auto-Rx has no effect on viscosity or the basic oil (transmission fluid is hydraulic oil and highly viscous)itself. Thank you for your kind comments regarding Auto-Rx enjoy your trip.

Thank you Frank. As soon as I have some more information with regards to how everything turned out, I'll post it all up.
I should also add, out of the 4 vehicles Ive used Auto Rx in thus far (The Santa Fe is going to be the 5th), I still have three of them and they are still running strong. The fourth one we got rid on trade in for another vehicle.
Of the 3 remaining vehicles, the lowest mileage one is 116k miles on the clock. Another has 161k on the clock and third has nearly 180k. The Santa Fe is starting its life with us at 133k.
