My truck has 105k on the clock.  transmission was flushed at Ford at 30k, 65k and then at 90k (Ford lovers forgive me) by Jiffy lube when i got home from Iraq.  I'm getting ready to drop the pan to change the filter and add a B&M drain plug to the pan.  Questions are:
do i just toss in some ARX now, run it and then drop the pan so i can change the filter?  then if i have them use the T-Tec system, will my filter be shot again?  thanks.  I've had great success with ARX in my other two cars, search for "galant" to see my results.

Do you have a torque converter drain plug?

On my Mark VIII, I just added the ARX and did a drain/fill and replaced the filter because it has a TC drain plug. Almost all fluid came out this way.

If not, I would personally do the T-Tech and then drop the pan to replace the filter and clean the pan.

Hope this helps.

Your filter should not be shot again. Anything that would have been trapped by the filter will be removed by you changing it out. You'll clean the pan while you're there ..so there shouldn't be anything left to drop out or be filtered out. The T-Tech should just be replacing the fluid and anything else should be suspended in it.

I would suggest that you first add the Auto-Rx now, then run the specified miles. Then drop the pan, clean and modify for drain plug. Replace the filter at the same time. Reinstall the pan, add fluid and then flush it either with the T-tech or a simple but just as effective DIY cooler line flush. This is what I have been doing for years with great results.
