Interested in your thoughts on whether the following oils work well with Auto-RX in both the cleaning/rinsing cycle and the post-rinse regular operation phase:
For regular operation, is there any reason not to run a 'High Mileage' oil?
I know High Mileage oils are not recommended for the cleaning/rinsing cycle, but I am wondering about afterwards in the normal operation phase.
Considering Chevron Supreme High Mileage 10W-30 or High Mileage 10W-40.

ELW,
The updated instructions for the ARX maintenance plan accommodate conventional, high mileage and synthetic oils. Each has a different ARX concentration.

I hope this helps. I, for one, look forward to using conventional oil only after the oil consumption issues in my Jeep Liberty get resolved. I'm in the middle of the rinse phase and that car has gone from 600 miles per quart to 1,200 miles per quart. I hope to be on the way toward avoiding the need for a high mileage oil.
Best wishes,

Hello PnP,
I did not write my prior question clearly.
I do not plan to run the ARX ongoing maintenance treatment, just the regular clean and rinse.
I use the term 'operational phase' to mean the normal usage phase after completing ARX clean and rinse cycles.
I am aware that the updated ARX instructions "allow" high mileage oil in the operational phase.
My question is: Is non-high mileage oil preferred in the operational phase?
I can use either oil type, and if regular (non-high mileage) oil is preferred in the operational phase, I'll use it.

There's no reason to use a high mileage oil without cause. That is, if you've got seals weeping or leaking. Auto-Rx will have cleaned off any dirt or hardened shell preventing them from doing their job. If that cleaning still results in weepage or seepage, then a seal swelling agent, that's present in HM oils, may be sensible.
