At the end of June I bought 3 bottles of Auto-Rx, expecting to use it on my Geo Metro. These engines are as notorious as Saturns for getting gunked up. But I ended up tearing the engine down and finding my first compression ring on the number one cylinder to be broken in two places. I received the engine back from the machine shop last week and am slowly reassembling it and will put it back in the car. I will definitely use the maintenance dose on it in the future after break-in.
Why serendipity? I went on a visit to see relatives in Virginia for the first 3 weeks of July and noticed (and recorded) a drop in gas mileage and power on my 1999 Nissan Quest which has 285,000 miles on it. It has been run on "synthetic" oil (can't be sure if it is truly synthetic as your website points out) since 40,000 miles. I will use two bottles as recommended on your website under http://www.auto-rx.com/fasttrack-sludge.html. The other bottle will be split between my transmission (6 oz) and power steering (2 oz), with the remaining 4 oz being used as the first maintenance dose when I put the WalMart Syntec oil in that I had already bought for my next oil change. I will be using O'Reilly dino oil until the sludge is all gone. Just in the nick of time!
