Main Tranny Seal Leak in '94 Buick Skylark

Hello Auto-Rx Plus will not only clean out the transmission contaminants, it will clean out the torque converter, just by following the application, also it will clean out the remains of the Lucas Transmission Fix.

Regarding the leak after finishing the Auto-Rx Plus Application, refill with non synthetic new transmission fluid, we will clean the seal , without swelling it.

This will result in a temporary loss of seal pliability, the additive package in the new transmission fluid over a few hundred miles will restore the pliability.

This is of course if the seal is not ripped or torn. You only need to purchase 1 bottle of Auto-Rx Plus. IMO it is a reasonable thing to do before having someone work on your transmission.

Hi All,

I was wondering if "Auto-RX" would be worth trying.

It's been leaking for about a year--have to add about a quart a month.

It shifts fine.

I tried several bottles of "Lucas Transmission Fix" to not much effect.

I did find that I've never--since I've owned the car for about 2 years--been using exactly the correct fluid:

I was using Dexron III when I should've apparently been using Dexron VI

Would you all think "Auto-RX" would be worth a try?

If so, should I worry that I may have some of the Lucas product still in there?

Also, there car will be in the shop for an unrelatated repair soon: should I have the tranny filter changed then?

Thanks.

Thanks, Frank.

Is Dexron VI synthetic?

And: would it be good to change the tranny filter before I do the Auto-RX?

Is Auto-RX available at any auto parts stores?

Hi Dexron Vi is a mobil product pretty sure it is a synthetic. There are plenty of good non synthetic transmission fluids, go to any parts store.

You order off our web site www.auto-rx.com . We ship USPS Priority.

Dexron-III was introduced in 1993.  Dexron-VI was introduced in 2005, first used as the GM factory-fill automatic transmission fluid for model year 2006.
