Please Help with our Toyota Sludge motor! Advice??

Hi there,

I'm reaching out for advice on our 2002 Toyota Sienna XLE engine. We bought it 3 years ago and had sludge problems from the start. (On the 1200 mile drive back home to be precise. ) Our mechanic is telling us to get rid of it . All we have done it seems is dump money into this thing. Put another engine in it only to be sludge again. (Truly??) It seems we can't make it an oil change without issues.

Can someone please advise what to do here and if this will truly work? How long will it take and is it safe to drive?

Are at wits end with this engine (frustrated does not say it) and don't want to give a problem to someone else the way we inherited one. At the moment it needs to be warmed up completely and it's rough to drive for a few miles, then it mellows out and feels "normal" again.  But how long can that last before just seizing up?

I believe we switched to synthetic recently.

Any help and advice is much appreciated!

Please go back to www.auto-rx.com and click on links on home page. Take time to read articles on sludge and controlling it. From your description of services you payed for, it would seem you got caught up in the "sludge game" there making money and your paying for it. Do the right thing read our site learn what is going on with your engine.Frank

Can we just drive the vehicle 500 miles each day for 2 days to get to the next change?

Hello as long as you get cleaning mileage of 2000 miles, it makes no difference how many days it takes. Same for rinse mileage.

No it will just take longer to do application extend application for both cleaning & rinsine mode additional 1000 miles.

Yes and thanks for checking. As soon as we receive the shipment we'll be jumping on this and running the van quickly through the process. Hopefully with good results.

Follow The instructions Frank gave you. There is a reason he gave then to you number 1 he invented ARX.

Hi Frank,

We are on our second oil change since switching to synthetic. Should we switch to dino oil for the cleanse/rinse? Or should we stay with synthetic and go 3000 miles as you recommended. We'd rather drive less mileage as it's less wear on the tires and the engine etc. We received the product today and are excited to get going.
