2000 Toyota Avalon Check Engine Light

When I took the car to the dealer they basically stated that when this error is shown they replace the entire transmission. Not sure if they just didn't want to take on working on a dated car. Anyways, long story short after further seeing that dirty transmission fluid may cause the code I decided to do a transmission flush and see if that clears the code. I hadn't heard of Auto-rx and stumbled on the product am going to use that as well.
I bought two bottles thinking that I would need to do more than one treatment. However, not sure if this is a good idea or not. The car has 90 thousand miles and shifts somewhat okay but i figured two is better than one Thoughts anyone?

P0773 is a code I'm familiar with, as it constantly comes up in a 1995 V6 Camry belonging to a relative. As the engine / transmission run's fine the problem is likely a bad (loose) electrical connection. I clear the code, to eliminate the engine check light, ever time it is due for an emissions test. Once I clear the code it can be several days before it returns.

As far as doing two ARX Plus treatments in your transmission I don't think that will be necessary. I would use the other bottle in the engine.

When you change the transmission fluid after your Auto-Rx Plus treatment change the transmission filter as well.

Why does my engine light come on?
On some engines, internal sensors for the engine light. oil light, and temperature gauge will act in an erratic manner during the cleaning phase. Do not be alarmed as Auto-Rx® Plus is removing contaminants found on sensors. IT DOES NOT INDICATE A PROBLEM. Gauges will return to normal operating condition after the rinse phase.

The exception to this advice is on sludge-prone engines whose oil pump pickup screens are known to become clogged with contaminants that are hard to dislodge. If you experience a persistent low oil pressure warning, the safest course of action is to have the oil pump pickup screen cleaned, or replaced, before continuing with your Auto-Rx® Plus treatment.

There is no need to add more than 6 ounces to your transmission ( each bottle of Auto-rx Plus has 12 ounces in it) You already have added one bottle that is more than enough. Please follow the instructions on Transmissions and at 1000
miles drain the unit by a T-Tec machine or similar found at any GoodYear or Shell Quick Oil Change.

You need to clean out the torque converter and T-Tec Machine will do that.
