Chevron Delo would perform well for cleaning and rinsing with Auto-Rx. The whole key is to clean with an oil that is mineral oil based preferably. Auto-Rx cleans faster in mineral oil based motor oils, when compared to cleaning rates in PAO based synthetic oils.
For a general cleaning application for a diesel the ideal treat rate is at 1 ½ fluid ounces of Auto-Rx per quart of oil capacity, up to a maximum of 2 fluid ounces per quart. If your motor has heavy deposits or even heavy sludge I would run the full 2 fluid ounce per quart amount.
If you are just doing a preventive maintenance cleaning, on a well cared for motor then go with the 1 ½ fluid ounce per quart ratio. Each Auto-Rx bottle contains 12 fluid ounces.
Also like most oil manufacturers Amsoil makes both group II mineral oil bases and also offer group IV fully synthetic oil bases.
I hope this answers your questions. If not please reply.
