Maintenance Dose Question
Permalink

Well I'm 1000 miles in to my cleaning phase. My oil is very dark and dirty looking. I'm convinced there is a lot of cleaning going on in there. I plan to continue with the maintenance dose after all is said and done. My question is: Should I go ahead and put a 3 oz maintenance dose in with the rinse phase, or just wait until the rinse phase is complete and start the maintenance dose then?

Thanks
Doug

Hold off adding the maintenance dose until after you've completed your rinse.

BTW, As dirty as my oil looks now, I'm thinking about running a second application to make sure it's completely clean. My vehicle is a 2005 Silverado 5.3L with only 45,000 miles on it. It was a GM lease vehicle before I bought it and I don't think it was cared for very well. Is this a good idea, or should I just stick with one clean/rinse phase and go directly to the MD.

Thanks
Doug

That is a good thought and worth the time and effort. i could write a book about my off lease Buick Century.
Just going to second Auto-Rx clean phase.

Thanks, Frank. I might just do that. After seeing this stuff work I think I'm going to order a bottle for the wifes car anyway.
