Auto-RX Treatment

I just recently bought a 1996 Acura Integra GS-R 5 speed and just received my bottles of ARX. I'm planning to run it in my engine and my manual transmission.

I'm not sure but should I be changing my oil and filter first before putting ARX in it or can I just pouring it in using the existing oil? Also my transmission takes 2.3quarts of MTF so is putting 2oz recommended or 3oz? How about in my engine...should I be using 8oz of ARX for the 4.4quarts of engine oil?

From the ARX home page ( http://www.auto-rx.com/ ) click onto Applications.

Can anyone confirm that the BASIC instructions call for you to use new oil and oil filter before adding ARX? It would seem to me that you'd want to change your oil before starting out with a sludged engine, but that you could get by with just changing the filter on a basic application.

For high mileage or heavily SLUDGED / OIL BURNING engines the instructions call for changing the oil filter but using the exisitng (old) oil.

The SEAL LEAKS instructions call for new oil and filter.

For the transmission I'd use 2-3 oz.  Getting a precise 2.5 oz might be a little difficult.  In the engine I'd shoot for 9 oz.  One bottle should be sufficient for doing both the engine and transmission.

If you have oil life in your existing engine oil fine to add Auto-Rx (Dino or Synthetic) EXCEPTIONS SEAL LEAKS-SLUDGE ISSUES.
