I am doing the Auto-Rx thing in my engine, but I am wondering if it is good to do in my transmission, it has always had synthetic trans fluid, but lately there are times that I think the shifting could be better, sometimes the engine will rev up a bit then move, I do not know if there is junk in my torque converter, if the Auto-Rx would clean it out and make it work better, I am thinking about changing the filter this weekend, anyone with comments who have used it in there trans and it has worked please chime in because a new converter is about $100.00 plus whatever for installation, I already have some extra bottles of Auto-Rx, so let me know if I should do it or not.
Brent Auto-Rx in cleaning transmissions does not care if your running synthetic or non synthetic. Auto-Rx just cleans the unit including the torque converter. Auto-Rx can't hurt anything. Just follow the application and with synthetic run the 6 ounce application for 1500 miles and drain there is no rinse mode with transmissions. or a need for a second application.
Frank, I am one step ahead of you, I put it in yesterday and 150 miles later she is better, just wondering if with this many miles I should change the filter half way through the process, does all the junk go to my filter or does it stay suspended in the fluid, I also have a magnet in the bottom of my pan, hope this helps, trans fluid is a bright red color and will this change, the reason i ask about the trans filter is because of the mileage, any comments would be appreciated Frank.
