I've been considering running Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5W-40 in my vehicle and have been unable to find information as to whether it is a Group III oil or not. Does anyone know if this oil would be compatible to use for Auto-RX cleaning and rinsing phases? Thanks.
Thanks. I am running two treatments, since my engine has over 100,000 miles on it. For the first treatment, I ran Castrol GTX, but I would like to use an oil that I can keep in the engine longer for winter use (I only drive about 750 miles per month). Looks like the Rotella T Synthetic will do the trick.
Just so everyone knows, I have already seen an improvement under my valve cover (sorry, no pics), and my engine definitely has more "pick up" than it did before. I think you have a great product!
