Volkswagen Passat Variant 2.5 TDI V6 (220.000KM)

Just bought Auto-RX and going to try it out on my car.

I've got an VW Passat Variant 2.5 TDI V6 with more then 220.000km on it. It's leaking oil trought some seal and this car has a problem with gas building up in the carter (the carterventilation is getting blokked after 30.000km). I'm doing a double complete application for a heavy sludge engine as told to me by Frank.

I started the application last monday, so after about 2000km (have to convert everything because i'm european. I'll change the oilfilter and after 4000km, the oil and oilfilter. I'm driving about 400 to 600km every week, so the cleanfase will be finished around half december. Then I can start with the rinse fase, which will take about 4 weeks to complete.

Last monday I had to explain why I wanted dino oil in my car instead of synthetic and after that I had taken full responsebility they filled it up with it. I hope I don't have to do that every time.

I'm very curious if this product is the solution to the problems i'm having with my car and if it is, I'll spread the word in Europe!

I'll post updates about my experiences with the product.

Have fun reading!

Interested in your updates too. Folks over at tdiclub.com have been happy with Auto-Rx. I'm currently 900 miles in the clean cycle on my Passat 1.8T, and will probably use it later on my Golf 1.9 TDI.

First Update:

Almost 1000km in the cleaning fase and the turbo doesn't work any more...
Is it related or not? I don't now. I don't think so but I can't outrule it yet...

I'm now figering out how much it's going to cost me...

Grtz, Robin

I've had more than a few turbocharged cars ,,, if you're not making boost the first things to check are rubber intake components for uncontrolled air or possibly a bad MAP sensor opening the wastegate (if it is electronically controlled),,, if that car uses a KKK brand turbo I'd feel comfortable that you'll fix the problem easily , their turbo's (K26/K28/K34 etc.) have a very simple mechanical boost controller... The most expensive part of  the turbo if it is actually bad is changing the compressor shaft bearing ... I have a machine shop locally that rebuilds (mostly big truck diesel) turbo's for about $200.00 , polished , balanced , new bearing , all oil and water passaged chased clean etc. etc.

The only bit of the turbo Auto-RX would touch would be the oil line to the main compressor shaft bearing ,, if this turbo is water cooled (as most modern ones are) there is usually no coking of the oil passages although they are a hot spot with lots of varnish and deposits..
