Read all over the site. Want to jump in to help protect my "babies"
I understand what to do for my 96 Wrangler with ~100K, Dad's Stratus with 200K and a small leak.
Big question I have is what to do with my 01 Miata with 17K. I don't drive it much, typically 1000K a year (17K currently, but most of that was the first year with a long trip). I use Amsoil with 1 year/25000K mile change oil. I don't think I'll put 1000 miles on in a year, and don't think any oil/filter should go longer.
Should I A. Do a 2.5K clean, with a new oil fill, filter, and Auto-Rx at each 1 year interval until I get to 2.5K - then proceed with the flush phase B. Do a 1 year cycle with less milage and then go to clean phase C. Something the experts recommend.
I'm in favor of the "C" option, so can't wait for reply. Thanks in advance, I really want this car to last!!!!
With this low mileage follow the Auto-Rx Maintenace Plan add 4 ounces to your existing oil. Auto-Rx is not a petroleum or solvent based product and will stay good as long as your oil. Benefits can be found in post above.
Thanks Frank. Appriecate the quick reply. Plan to order really soon, need to check my work schedual to see when I can get to the cars, but anticipate it will be soon.
