We have attempted to configure out instructions to serve the most customers with the highest value in results and costs. The current instructions give a good balance of minimizing costs due to rapid oil changes while getting the full effect of Auto-Rx. This works very well for most customers and is required for sludged engines and highly recommended for all other conditions. However, the fundamental impact of Auto-Rx can be compressed into a shorter cycle. It will cost more in motor oil and filters over the miles in use. If those costs aren't a factor, or your time base will mean stretching the normal instructions out too long in months, OR if you're need to get the cleaning and rinsing over with sooner as to get back to a PAO or Ester based oil that is a requirement of continuous operation, then this "Fast Track" method may be for you. Again, we feel that the slower method gives the customer the maximum value in totol costs.
I think that the fast track may be viable to some. For classic cars that are driven sparingly or for those that insist on staying on group IV synthetics. Ore perhaps for those that want to make the switch to group IV synthetics. The other likely candidates may be those that have failed a smog test and have short order to remedy. I am assuming that the ARX concentration will be increased and run for a shorter period of time. I would guess the rinse, with dino or group III will be shortened as well.
I think this will be a viable option for those that would like to cleanse the ring packs. This is the area where most performance is potentially lost. Due to the maximum heat and pressures surrounding the ring packs, this area of the working guts of the motor is proned to clean much faster. Motor areas that merely get splash fed with oil obviuosly take a lot longer duration.
That's exactly who we're responding to, Rich. There are lots of folks that just can't get the basic application to work with their vehicles either due to lifestyle or other vehicle specific issues. I've bent over backwards since I brought Auto-Rx to market to cater to the largest market segment in terms of cost over benefits. Now I'm trying to satisfy demand for a shorter process where economy and convenience aren't primary considerations.
