When to use "Basic" versus "Sludge" application?

I applied Autorx to my 1998 Sienna that has about 150K miles on it. My thought was to use the "Basic" application, but after reading about all the issues with sludge on the 1998 Sienna I was thinking about switching to the "Sludge" application. It seems the difference is essentially changing the oil after 2500 miles versus 1250 miles.

Questions:
1)  I'm about 700 miles with AutoRX in the oil and so far the oil as viewed from the dip stick looks very clean. I have religously changed the oil on the vehicle every 3K miles so its possible that the engine is pretty clean. Is the condition of the oil as viewed from the dipstip indicative of anything? Could this mean I don't have a sludge issue and stick with the the basic application?

1) In the sludge application, are you essentially only changing the oil filter at 1250 miles and then both oil and filter at 2500 miles? To be safe, I could just change the oil filter at 1250 - its easy enough and filters don't cost that much.

carolinakid,

To be on the safe side change the filter But with 150K miles I would go ahead and do another cleaning and rinse phase. Thank you for purchasing ARX it is a great porduct.

Auto-Rx chemistry in one 12 ounce bottle is enough to clean an engine under 100,000 miles. So by all means do a second cleaning. Take off your oil filler cap and turn it upside down if it looks like you black greasy debris in grooves, i would treat for sludge.

The only difference in the cleaning application and the sludge application is when removing sludge it is a good idea to keep filter clean so we ask you to replace filter every 1250 miles. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY IN STRAIGHT CLEANING MODE.

The Maintenance Program keeps engine and oil clean and there is no reason why you can,t extend your OCI by at least 25 %

Auto-Rx has it,s own additive package and if your host oil,s additive package starts to dedigrate, Auto-Rx will "kick" in.
