I have a truck which is maybe driving about a 100 miles a week.Should I give it a fast track treatment or the normal. It just would be awhile to hit the 2500 mile oil change.

DLS,

If you know it has no sludge issues you can try the fast track treatment but I would start the maintenance program after you finish the treatment.

Ok if there is, what do you recommend. Just do the sludge treatment even though I'm not driving that many miles?

Thanks Dan.

Dan,

Can you remove the valve cover and check for sludge? How many miles on the engine?

Hitting the 140K. I noticed a tanish slushy substaince in the oil filler tube a while back which directed me to your site. I more less wiped it out with a cloth (lent free)rag at the time and now it's not like it was. I'm not the original owner but this truck seems to apear well kept. This is the 4.7 V8 and running good, I just want to be the final owner that lies it to rest. ( run her another  60K)  I'm no cerified mechanic
and my free time is limited. Pulling these covers are lot more time consuming/ complicated than my old 88 truck! You folks have a pretty good feedback on you're product and I like the fact that you guys follow up in these post with you're customers. Just looking for a good suggestion here 4 my case. I have my wife's Mini Van I'd like to do the ARX treatment all around as well.

Thanks in advance, Dan

Unscrew your oil filler cap turn it over if you have a gray spaghetti type substance laying in the grooves you have sludge. If not you just have a engine full of contaminants. Its important to identify which fits your engine as applications not the same.

Don't have the grey stuff just the tan stuff like I said before. That's not even there since I checked today. Kind of a slight gas smel maybe.(not sure) I don't mean to be a pain since you can't determine by word of mouth. Again I would like to see how my engine would respond to this cleansing.
