ARX for a 1994 Mazda 626 -
Permalink

Hello:

I have a 1994 Mazda 626 - with a 2.0L engine and 5 speed manual transmission. This car has about 123K miles on the clock. I have bad lifter noise and also dense blue smoke at start up on some days. I am thinking of running the ARX cleaner through my engine. I don't this engine has ever had a motor flush or anything of that sort. I used a can of engine Restore, when I did my last oil change-  but that has not helped anything.

Are there any precautions I should take before I add this stuff in to my oil? Also should I stick to the 2500 cleanse phase and a 3000 miles rinse phase - given the high miles on the motor? I checked for sludge - but did not find any substance on the oil filler cap. I looked in to the motor thru the oil filler opening and saw that the insides were pretty sludgy looking. Could be contaminants or is this sludge?

Also during the rinse phase, can I use fuel additives like Lucas or STP? I usually run a bottle of the stuff at every oil change.

Look forward to your mails.

Cheers

Sunny

sunny441,

I doin't see a problem running additives in you fuel just keep them out of the oil as ARX will remove them.
