Will Auto-Rx clog up the manual transmission oil pump (trochoid type) and its strainer?

As mentioned in an earlier post, the transfer in my car has a rear seal leak; in order to fix it I need to drain the transaxle, since the manual transaxle is continuous with the transfer and uses the same transmission fluid.  Since transmission fluid is expensive (and I need 6 quarts of it), I want to use Auto-Rx to clean out the manual transmission before draining it to replace the rear transfer seal.  Also, it is possible that using Auto-Rx may clean the seal, so that it may not need to be replaced.

But the transmission has an oil pump on the bottom of its case, with a strainer and tubes.  If Auto-Rx liquefies and releases stuck-on gunk in the manual transmission, isn't it possible that the gunk will end up clogging the strainer and tubes that recirculate the oil, thu starving the transmission of oil that should be circulating?
This situation could damage the transmission, could it not?

The answer to your question is NO.

Auto-Rx will liquify any junk in your transfer case.

Thanks Brent. I decided to do things a bit differently. Rather than drain the transaxle completely to replace the defective seal, I put in a new seal without draining the transaxle. In the process, I did lose some tranny gear oil, but not all of it.

Then I opened the transmission filler plug and added more dino-based tranny gear oil 75W-90 plus 6 ounces of Auto-Rx. In this way, I was able to both keep most of the current tranny fluid (which was still golden brown/honey colored; no sign of burning) and added only a quart more.

So far, no leaks.

I'll run Auto-Rx in the transmission for 1000 miles as per instructions and then drain the tranny gear oil.  I'll probably replace the dino-based gear oil with a synthetic like Mobil 1, Amsoil, or Royal Purple.

Thanks.

I have used auto-rx in my transmission where the trans filter is a screen, there was nothing in it, auto-rx liquified everything so much that it went through my trans filter.

There was sediment on the bottom of my trans pan.

No worries with using auto-rx in your transmission, good luck.
