Friends, its never pleasant to raise prices, but, frankly, were in a dilemma.  Over the last 9 years, we have provided free shipping with each order.  Even though FedEx, UPS, and DHL, as well as the US Post Office, have all had several price increases, we have held our prices the same and simply absorbed the increased cost of shipping.  However, in the current economy, we cannot continue business as usual.  We must do something to change this, and wed like your input. Heres how you can help.

Would you prefer to pay an increased price or perhaps receive reduced discounts? Or would you prefer to pay a small shipping charge?

We value your opinion and ask that you post your response on the discussion board or email us at admin@auto-rx.com

We regret the need to make such changes, but its a business decision we are forced to address. Thank you for participating in this major decision.

sludge did you read the post? we are not raising the product price (thats an option) we are asking which do you prefer a shipping cost raise or a price increase.

Auto-Rx is a small company and we did not get any money from the Government stimulus package.

However we can't absorb the shipping costs plus raw material cost and give you the same price you have had.

So how about coming back and posting again ?

To be honest I would rise the cost a bottle of Auto-RX if necessary to keep the company afloat and the shipping charges are beyond your control, so really it's not your concern.

Auto-Rx cost to manufacture and sell is not the problem. We have gone 9 years without a raise in shipping cost I think most of our customers would participate in shipping cost in lieu of a price increase.

First off my post was not being negative or anything I just did not get it (what I read in the OP) message and still a little off.

What gets me is shipping prices. All shippers cried poor when fuel was $5 a gallon for diesel and now it is half but rates are still high. Talk about profits.

But after your post it seems your suppliers are raising their prices which affect you. So from a customer end (my take), it would not matter if you raised prices or add shipping into it. It is all a total and will be raised prices in the end.  Example is $25 a bottle and $5 to ship or $30 a bottle free shipping. Same no matter what. YMMV

The only company I know of that lowered prices (oil wise) after the fuel issue was Amsoil; which I could not believe it

We are not asking a customer to pay shipping in full. We are asking customer to contribute to total shipping costs on a sliding scale.

On paper this seems to better than a flat rate price increase for Auto-Rx users and new buyers.
