2002 Land Rover Discovery - HG Replacement

I bought this LR in 06 and had about 45K miles on it.  It was leaking as all Rovers do.  I used Auto-rx with the seal leak instructions at that time and it cleared up the leaks about 90%.  The front water pump/timing cover gasket is paper and didn't do much for it though as it may have had a tear.

Jump forward 4 years and 40K miles.  My head gaskets finally gave up the ghost at about 83K miles as most of these engines do.  I had the engine pulled and completely re-sealed as it was just a few hundred more.  I have been using the maint. dose of Auto-rx about every other oil change.  Sorry I'm forgetful............  When my mechanic tore apart the engine he couldn't believe how clean it was inside.  I saw it disassembled on the garage floor and except for a little discoloration on the heads it looked brand new.  The inside of the oil pan was sludge free.  He said he usually has to take a scraper and really dig to get it out.  The bearing caps were spot free as was the crank shaft.  The oil pick up screen was clean as a whistle and the pick up tube looked brand new.

I picked it up today and will be putting in my maint dose whan I get home.  I can't say enough great about this product.

John
