Why Use the Maintenance Dose?

You have just finished with the cleaning and rinse applications to clean the motor's internals and remove harmful deposits, but don't stop here!

In addition to keeping your motor's vital internals clean, Auto-Rx^® has been shown to reduce wear and provide a lower co-efficient of friction than with motor oil alone. With just 3 to 4 fluid ounces in the oil crankcase, lubrication is enhanced, as well as fuel efficiency. With the maintenance dose, you can have it working every time you turn the key. Added to the host motor oil, Auto-Rx^®slowly dissolves contaminants from ring packs, cam lobes, and other high-friction areas.

After an initial cleaning and rinsing, add only 3 to 4 fluid ounces of Auto-Rx^®with each oil change. This will provide additional cleaning over the long haul and will prevent having to clean the engine again down the road.

Results from cleaning the ring packs-in the words of actual users

Test on Honda Civic Dx: The oil consumption is down to just under ½ a quart with 500 miles to go in this rinse cycle. I believe ARX has cleaned around the ring packs to reduce the oil consumption from 1 quart to ½ quart and the MMO failed to clean the rings. I still have one more clean/rinse cycle to go and I'm very pleased with the results I have seen thus far. I am going to give up using MMO in my engines and stick with ARX because it has proven to me beyond any doubt to be far superior than MMO.

I Am a Believer: I have seen ARX slowly remove varnish. But I am more concerned with cleaning ring packs and internal motor parts, which ARX does flawlessly. I don't know of many products that can say many of their customers have experienced increased compression like ARX can.

Increased Gas Mileage: Do you think clean ring packs produced these results? .... I'm about 1k miles into the rinse cycle now. Oil consumption actually increased for a while, but now appears to use very little, time will tell. What did amaze me was when i filled up at the tank...I could only stuff 12 gallons in....hmmmm, made me wonder. checked the mileage and WOW, 33 MPG! no way! can't be....rechecked the calculations, 33.12 MPG!!! Next weekend, i'll be starting cycle number two, alongwith compression tests to compare to the initial ones taken before the cleaning cycle.

Answers from the Experts

Will Auto-Rx^® work for every vehicle?  I have an SUV.

Answer: Auto-Rx^® can be added to any engine with 4, 6, or 8 cylinders (even inboard boat engines). The only engine Auto-Rx^® will not work in is a 2-stroke engine, such as those in motorcycles or lawnmowers, because Auto-Rx^® does not mix with gasoline.

How many times do I need to apply Auto-Rx^®?

Answer: We have seen customers get extraordinary results after only one application of Auto-Rx^®. But for best results, we recommend that you use it every 25,000 miles. Engines with more than 100,000 miles will need two applications of Auto-Rx^® as there is so much oil debris buildup that needs to be removed. As an alternative to the 25,000 interval, you may add a maintenance dose of 3-4 ounces of Auto-Rx^® with each oil change. This will assure that harmful buildup does not come back and will provide full-time protection.

Is Auto-Rx^® compatible with my turbocharger?

Answer: Auto-Rx^® is compatible with ball bearings, seals, etc. In fact, turbochargers create a lot of heat and are quite taxing on the oil or lubricant. Life expectancy of a turbocharger is typically tied to oil failure due to heat and therefore would be a perfect candidate for Auto-Rx^®. Keeping the system clean is key to life expectancy.
