SAAB transmission Question
Permalink

Dear Sir,

One of my user use Auto_rX in his Saab transmission, and came up some problem, the transmission slip on both manual and auto mode.  And via computer check, there are 6 pages error code.

What is this problem ?

They change transmission fluid, everything back to normal.

How can we avoid this problem ?

Thank you.

I am from Taiwan, order lots of Auto-RX, and sale them in Taiwan.

Hi Calvinwang,

Not knowing what make, model, and error codes I can only speak in generalities. Many of the Saab automatic transmission slip issues are related to electrical sensor issues, such as output speed sensor, input turbine speed sensor, lockup solenoids, or even a neutral saefty switch. Mechanical issues that are common place can be as simple as the orings on the cooling line at radiator. These have been recalled on many models. Some leakage of water/coolant can enter the transmission. The water will separate out of the transmission fluid when the car sits for a while and then gets mixed back in when you run the car for a bit. If this is the case the problem is going to return after a period of time. Or perhaps the transmission had serious contaminants from overdue service life of the trans fluid, then when is was dissolved back into suspension by Auto-Rx some sensor was not able to get a correct reading.

There is nothing in Auto-Rx that would effect the viscocity of the transmission fluid. It would to any real degree effect the coefficient of friction.
What do the computer codes indicate?

Rich
