I'm trying to clean up my N52 engine. Currently it's not badly sludge up but every 5k oil filter change there will be quite visible sludge on it.

Another issue I have is loud lifter noise . I was using 5w-40 syn oil and I  changed to 15-50 syn oil, the noise is gone for now.

 

I would really hope ARX is able to solve my two issues over here. I'm waiting for tech support to answer my query on which mineral base oil to use.

 

Anyone try using BMW high performance mineral oil 15w-40 (Part No : 07 51 0 017 868) with ARX before ?

And have anyone tried using Castrol GTX 15w-40 on a N52 engine ?

Any input is appreciated. Thx

Did not see your "Tech Support Post" Oil is just a carrier if your going to use a full synthetic oil follow instructions on web site. You will get quicker results by going with a group 111 synthetic Castrol GTX comes to mind.
