Questions regarding Auto-Rx transmission process
(Preview)
Hi all, I've been using Auto-Rx in my cars since I ordered several bottles back in '04. Great product, and has really done wonders for me on the engine in my 2001 24v Taurus. I'm getting ready to add it to the transmission of the Taurus, and had a few questions. I searched and found that everyone is...

Transmission "maintenance dose"?
(Preview)
I just had a new auto transmission put in my 1995 Saturn 6 months ago (roughly 7,000 miles ago). Should I have any problem putting in 3 oz. of Auto-Rx as a "maintenance" dose, as I do with my engine? Thank you,Ryan

Transmission Fluid Temps & AUTO-RX
(Preview)
I have a 2004 Mercury Marauder with 31,000 miles on it and a 1983 Chevrolet El Camino with 371,000 miles on it. I have done an auto-rx application in both transmissions, the Marauder has an external trans cooler whereas the El Camino does not have one. I use Amsoil ATF in both transmissions and I have t...

Running ARx for 5-6k miles
(Preview)
I had a trans flush and a quart of additive at 30k miles. I also added a remote filter mount which runs a HP-1 filter. I added 6oz of ARx about 1500 miles ago. I haven't got all the Amsoil trans fluid yet and want to run the fluid for 5-6k miles. Should I just change the fluid filter? What interval?

Will T-Tec method clean the filter?

I added 6oz of Auto-Rx to my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with 87,00 miles and after driving 1,018 miles, I had the transmission flushed at a "trusted" local transmission shop, using the "t-tec" method. No filter change. Unbelievable results! Prior to adding Auto-Rx, my trans...

1993 Buick Century, 4-speed automatic
(Preview)
Just thought I would share my experience. In March of 2008 I bought a 1993 Century with 145,000 miles, and had the transmission fluid changed. It drove fine before that, but right after the change it would fall into a false neutral at most stops. You would have to shift to neutral then back into drive...

Will Auto-Rx clog up the manual transmission oil pump (trochoid type) and its strainer?
(Preview)
As mentioned in an earlier post, the transfer in my car has a rear seal leak; in order to fix it I need to drain the transaxle, since the manual transaxle is continuous with the transfer and uses the same transmission fluid. Since transmission fluid is expensive (and I need 6 quarts of it), I want to us...

Transfer case seal leak? Should I try Auto-Rx?
(Preview)
I've been using Auto-Rx in my engine and tranny, but didn't consider putting it into the transfer until I noticed a transfer seal leak a few days ago. The transfer holds about 0.8 quarts of gear oil in the range of 75W-90 to 90 weight. I'm not sure what is in there now, since I can't find any records on thi...

Just finished ARX treatment in my Lincoln MarkVIII
(Preview)
I ran it a little too long, about 1700 miles, but the results are amazing. I used the drain/fill method because this trans has a torque converter drain plug. My mechanic replaced the filter, cleaned the pan, and installed some synthetic ATF(Schaeffer's). The color of the old fluid was a deep maroon co...

How much ARX for the Allison 1000 HD trans?
(Preview)
I want to add AutoRX to my Allison transmission. The Allison holds 13+ quarts of fluid. Should I still use the standard treatment ratio of 6 oz or increase the amount of AutoRX? Also, the Allison has a spin on filter as well as the internal filter. Do I still need to drain & refill after 1000 miles...

The application for an automatic transmission of a passenger car or light truck, is to run the 6 fluid ounces for 1000 miles before purging the old fluid out with new fluid. This will guarantee that all deposits are suspended in the old fluid before purging. It is not advisable to add the 6 fluid ounces a...

AUTO-RX and Transmissions

AUTO-RX and Differentials
(Preview)
I believe using auto-rx in your Differential is a win win situation. I have used the product and after 1000 miles of auto-rx in the Differential the gears looked brand spanking new. So auto-rx does a good job of keeping things clean in the Differential. But, I think there is another important benefit...

I did 6 ounces of auto-rx in my Mercury Marauder's transmission, I recently changed all of the fluid out and put on a new trans filter. The transmission is shifting fantastic. The fluid was showing signs of needing replacement so I had it flushed. I wish I had heard about ARx before the flush.
